MY EXPERIENCE AT CAGAYAN

It was a long-exhausting trip to Cagayan. But when I saw many mountains around I felt a sudden electricity around my body. We decided to take our little family gathering in Cagayan because tito Dan built a new house out there. After the trip, we finally reached and took a nap inside my Tito’s house. They planned about the places were going to visit. Later on, we go to the market to buy some snacks. We experienced riding a “kalesa” to drop us home. I was surprised because they’re still places like this who’s maintaining the good culture they’ve started from the past.

The next day, we visited “Our Lady of Piyat Church”. The church is amazingly quite beautiful, as I enter inside the church I can’t help relaxing and appreciating every detail of the arrangement around.

We also wished on the well and lighted our candles with our prayers.

My tito said that we must try their city’s signature stir-fried noodles before leaving the town. It’s called “batil patong”.

Batil Patong or Pancit Tuguegarao is usually made up of Fresh Miki noodles, minced carabao’s meat, bean sprouts, cabbage, chicharon, and fried egg. Batil means mix and Patong means topping. Tito didn’t fail in suggesting this astonishing dish that I’ve never expected to be.

Our next destination is Callao Cave that is located in the municipality of Peñablanca, Cagayan. The cave is so big and well lit, its walls call out to every explorer to come to enter or even to come to pray. The formation of the rocks or the cave is breathtakingly awesome.

I can’t imagine how its almost perfectly made by nature. I kept on beaming while taking pictures around. Lastly, we packed and prepared our things for leaving the town. Cagayan is an interesting place to add in your travel bucket list. It may took a long journey but in the end it will give you a remarkable moments and satisfaction. A feeling of longing swept while remembering those adventures we made. And I think, I left my heart in the Province of Cagayan.

“MY EXPERIENCE AT HIDDEN PARADISE (PORACAY RESORT)”

“Travel does’nt become an adventure until you leave yourself behind”

-Marty Rubin

Every year, me and my family go into different places. But we have this one destination that i will not forget. And that is the Hidden Paradise in Porac. Before we go to the said destination we decided to eat our lunch first at the Mesa restaurant in SM Clark .

We ate their delectable filipino cuisine such as tinapa roll wrapped in lettuce and shrimp tofu salad. All the delicacies there was so amazing most especially the dessert. I ate their infamous dessert called “mais con heilo”. The restaurant radiates a laid-back ambiance and a homey feel.

After we have eaten our lunch, we decided to continue driving to Porac. During our drive, we stopped at the 7/11 to buy some snacks that we will going to eat there at the resort. After that we continue driving. Undeniably, Poracay was truly a hidden paradise in Porac, Pampanga. It was a long drive for us, we even got lost trying to find the place on our way. The view there is like a dessert-terrain. All you can see is sand and the road was rocky. We even passed an alternative way to the said location because the other road there was under construction. After our long trip to the destination we have finally arrived to the said hidden paradise of Porac, Pampanga. It was quite funny because our white van was full of sand due to the desserted place of Porac.

Me and my family waited for several minutes and paid for the entrance fee.

After we paid for the entrance fee we now have our ticket. The security there was strict that they have to check first the things inside the van. Surprisingly, the resort was so huge! you have to drive for about five minutes before you can reach to the main resort. There are villas there to check in if you want to have overnight. There are cottages everywhere. And also have many pools for children and adult.

There are a lot of pools there, and to our advantages there are only few tourists that visited that time that’s why me and my family enjoyed the scenerey there like the lagoon and experienced kayaking.

I could say that going to Poracay Resort was a surreal experience for us. You will surely have a lot of fun and try many adventorous activities there like kayaking, zipline and many more. Going to the Hidden Paradise was worth the experience.
